In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.
National lockdowns, circuit breakers, burst bubbles, proximity contacts: the impact has been severe on us all. Every family in our community and every aspect of school life has been shaped by the crisis. Without a doubt, these are difficult times. But, as Albert Einstein once said: “in the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.”
I have been amazed by the way our teachers and support staff have seized the chance to develop their practice. Since schools first closed their doors in March, our team have thrown themselves into professional learning. They have completed online courses, readied themselves for blended learning through Google for Education training, undertaken in-house CPD, engaged with professional growth cycles, undertaken professional enquiries and developed a real appetite for educational research. Without exception, they have found opportunity amidst the chaos.
It is because of this that I have decided to run this blog. #TimHeolddu have got so much to share. I hope that you enjoy following our progress.
